Join We Own It Region 5 & OPSEU President Warren (Smokey) Thomas, on October 24, as we stand in support of our brothers and sisters of ATU at the expansion of Keep Transit Public campaign in Toronto, Mississauga & Brampton.
Metrolinx- The provincial transit planning organization- is building new and improving transit across the GTHA. This is good and we applaud them for this. However, what you may not know is that Metrolinx is pursuing an aggressive agenda of privatization by making it all but impossible for existing public transit companies from operating and maintaining these new transit builds.
Transit works best when it's publicly owned, operated and maintained. Come out and support us, add your voice.
