Tell the Minister: public ServiceOntario for Valley East

Tell the Minister: Valley East deserves a reliable ServiceOntario!

In the middle of January, the privately managed ServiceOntario Centre in Val Caron, north of Sudbury, closed suddenly. People living in Valley East were left in the lurch.

It's hardly the first time Ontarians have been let down by private ServiceOntarios. Time and again, privately managed ServiceOntario Centres have proven themselves inadequate and unreliable:

The people of Valley East have a right to the full range of public services – in French and English – right where they live.

It's time to call on Government and Consumer Affairs Minister Tracy MacCharles to ensure that Valley East gets the full-service, bilingual, and reliable ServiceOntario it deserves.

Add your voice by sending her an email like the one below.

(As you'll see, the email starts with "I am a resident of Valley East..." If you're not a Valley East resident, just edit that opening line!)

Dear Minister MacCharles,

As a resident of Valley East, I am demanding that you open a public ServiceOntario to replace the privately managed Val Caron ServiceOntario Centre that closed abruptly in January.

Hundreds of Valley East constituents have clearly stated that they are in favour of publicly owned and operated public services that are stable and reliable.

Valley East residents pay the same provincial taxes as all Ontarians: why should we get less?

We deserve to have a stable and reliable ServiceOntario.

We deserve access to the full services offered by public ServiceOntario Centres.

And we deserve those services in French and English.

I am counting on you, as the Minister for Government and Consumer Services, to help keep our community accessible and prosperous by making our ServiceOntario publicly owned and operated.
